Trace metal fume hoods
Jun 17 2024
UniFlow Polypro Trace Metal Fume Hoods from Hemco are specifically designed for applications where accurate testing results necessitate the use of non-metallic materials. These hoods are particularly suitable for environments such as water treatment, marine and soil sciences, environmental toxic analysis, and toxicology.
The fume chamber and integral work surface of the hoods are constructed from a single piece of seamless white polypropylene, ensuring both durability and ease of cleaning. The baffle is fabricated from the same white polypropylene, and the exterior is made from a chemical and flame-resistant white composite resin. This design choice enhances the hood's resistance to harsh chemicals and high temperatures.
The hoods are equipped with front horizontal sliding sashes that can be made from either tempered glass or polycarbonate. These sashes feature four panels on two tracks, providing flexibility and accessibility during use. Vapour-proof lighting is included to ensure safety and visibility within the work area, and the hoods come with convenient switches and an exhaust collar for efficient operation.
To maintain the non-metallic requirement, a wide range of accessories and services are available, including polypropylene cabinets. UniFlow Polypro Trace Metal Fume Hoods are offered in various sizes, including 48”, 60”, 72”, and 96” widths, with depths of either 30” or 36”, to accommodate different workspace requirements.
