Contact Angle Measurement
Jan 29 2010
The DSA14 from Krüss is the entry-level model for software-supported contact angle measurement. With this favourably priced manual version, but without any concessions with respect to quality, operating comfort and software, the latest contact angle measuring system from Krüss is a real alternative. An extensive range of accessories enables the basic instrument to master demanding measuring tasks.
The DSA14 features: high-resolution firewire camera (IEEE 1394a); image recording rate up to 60fps (optional); contact angle measurement, surface free energy, surface and interfacial tension of liquids; measurements even on larger samples up to 300xoox50mm (WxDxH); easy-to-use software with numerous evaluation possibilities; new Dose&Push dosing system; and high-quality mechanical construction.
Liquid dosing is extremely simple and highly accurate with the new Dose&Push dosing system from the EasyDrop contact angle product range. The drops are generated with a reproducibility of 0.3†microlitre and placed on the sample at the touch of a finger. Software-controlled contact angle measurement can start immediately after drop placement and without any further actions being required. With image recording rates of up to 60fps even
rapid changes in the contact angle can be recorded.
The DSA14 is supplied with the well-proven, frequently optimised Krüss DSA1 software. This is easy to use, while still offering the whole range of evaluation methods in common use today.
