Motic launches new LED Fluorescence for Biological Microscopes
Sep 03 2012
Motic, a worldwide manufacturer of Light microscopes, is launching a new LED Fluorescence module for biomedical applications.
”The characteristics of LEDs even allow the implementation of the Fluorescence method in Education programs of schools and Universities”,” Dr. Hans-Jürgen Klemenz, product manager for Motic Europe, confirmed.
In a first step, the EpiLED-FL module is available with 3 setups of excitation LED/filter combinations. A smooth integration into Motic's BA series models allows a rapid switch between Transmitted light methods and Incident light Fluorescence. An “Auto-Off” function helps in prolonging the life time of the sample by avoiding accidental bleaching.
A special battery package has been developed for 7 hours work independent from any power network. New Non-Cover-Glass (NCG) objectives allow the use of established Tuberculosis and Malaria detection methods in Third World environments.
Motic will launch the LED-FL Fluorescence device during this month, September 2012. Motic products are available through a network of well-known lab suppliers and dedicated microscope specialists.
