The software simultaneously displays weight and application-specific information, such as percent or count. Moreover, at the touch of the Function button, SmartText displays application reference information, such as average piece of weight. Another useful element is the Advanced AutoCal™ fully automatic calibration system with two internal weights that help  minimise weighing errors and ensure accurate measurements. The AutoCal™ system automatically calibrates the balance when it senses a temperature change significant enough to affect the weighing accuracy.

Durable glass and steel construction help make the Discovery family resistant to the effects of static and corrosion, thus increasing balance stability and accuracy.
