They are designed to deliver advanced performance in an intuitive package, ensuring accurate and reliable results every time, no matter the user’s experience level. Thermo Fisher Scientific designed the next-generation bench meter series to prioritize advanced analysis and dependable data, all while being easy and convenient for users of all experience levels. The Orion Pro Star series allows users to analyze samples for measurements like pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, ion concentration and multi-parameters across a wide variety of sample materials and research applications. Users can also adapt to a range of testing scenarios with three measurement modes—continuous, auto-read and timed read—enhancing versatility and accuracy in their measurements. Being able to analyze a wide range of parameters thoroughly means a streamlined workflow and enhanced productivity.

The Orion Pro Star series features a large, state-of-the-art 7-inch touchscreen display that delivers an intuitive interface, helping technical and non-technical users feel confident in their results. The meters include operational guidance features such as setup assistance, guided navigation, step-by-step calibration assistance, on-screen prompts, helpful icons and troubleshooting support. In the event of routine maintenance, the Orion Pro Star provides timely notifications through an intuitive alert system. The display also comes with an innovative ergonomic design to improve readability and user experience by reducing eye strain and neck fatigue, and users can even customize the way data is displayed with the Orion Pro Star’s cutting-edge interface, further enhancing user experience.

The series is also designed to help ensure security in the lab. Each meter can accommodate up to three administrators and 30 users with access safeguarded by individual password protection to enable precise control over account permissions. Any software updates are effortlessly applied via a USB flash drive, facilitating the seamless integration of the latest features and advancements to keep the meter up to date. 

The Orion Star Pro series’ advanced analysis leads to dependable data that can be effortlessly saved and exported for long-term data retention. Users can store, display and manage up to 10,000 data sets and 20 calibration logs per parameter, each complete with date and time stamps. They can also select specific data fields, methods, and calibration logs to tailor reports to meet their specific needs.  

Each meter offers a small footprint and freestanding electrode holder, bringing flexibility to the user’s benchtop setup. The meters are constructed from durable ABS plastic and are IP-54-rated (dust- and water-resistant) for use in demanding lab environments. The Orion Pro Star series helps to enhance lab workflows by delivering efficiency. Its meter-controlled and meter-powered stirrer probe ensures consistent and uniform sample mixing, while one temperature sensor can be utilized across multiple channels.
