Cleanroom-suitable Universal Ovens from Memmert at an Unbeatable Cost/Benefit Ratio

They are durable, robust, precise, reliable and user-friendly. The quality characteristic of cleanroom-suitable can now be added to the properties which describe our appliances. In the standard version the Memmert universal ovens UFP 500 and UFP 800 were certified by the Fraunhofer Institut with the IPA cleanroom seal of approval. To guarantee the maximum level of quality assurance, tests were performed in accordance with the uniform and statistically reliable standard of the VDI (Association of German Engineers).

Guido Kreck, Project Manager at the Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart, points to the large significance of forced air during measurements: “A forced air circulation optimises the homogeneous temperature distribution inside the chamber, yet this is simultaneously the critical issue for the cleanroom suitability of drying ovens.“ Even with maximum fan speed, the universal ovens UFP 500 and UFP 800 attain the ISO class 7 in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644-1, without fan they are certified in the chamber with ISO class 4. In the surroundings, both appliances attain purity class 5. The further development of future sciences such as life sciences, microelectronics, nanotechnology, aviation and space travel, but also basic research in physics, chemistry and biology, is no longer conceivable without cleanrooms. With cleanroom certification, Memmert now provides two appliances for such applications with an unbeatable cost/benefit ratio.

For Heinz Bayer, Sales Manager at Memmert, the fact that the tested universal ovens obtained the cleanroom seal of approval without any modifications such as particle filters, and therefore open up interesting market potential, may give cause for satisfaction, but is not a great surprise. “This certificate provides confirmation of the Memmert philosophy of quality, which began with our company founder, Willi Memmert.
