Registrations for ?MCerts 2007? Up by 100%

Mar 29 2007

The organisers of MCerts 2007 (25 26th April, Bretby Conference Centre, Burton Upon Trent) have received double the number of registrations in comparison with this stage before the 2005 event. The Exhibition is fully booked and nearly 50 Workshops on each day will offer visitors help and advice on almost any topic related to the testing and monitoring of air and emissions.

John Tipping, who manages MCerts on behalf of the Environment Agency, is hoping for a high level of participation in MCerts 2007, commenting "The scheme has come a long way since its inception and continues to evolve. In general it has been a great success, however, I cannot emphasise enough, how important it is that all stakeholders take an active part in the improvement process. To this end I would urge as many people as possible to attend MCerts 2007; not only will it provide participants with an update on the latest regulatory requirements and MCerts but also the opportunity to hear more about the latest monitoring developments and technologies.

One of the themes of the Conference will be multiparameter technologies such as FTIR. Again, I would encourage visitors to attend these sessions because, whilst these systems are becoming very popular, it is important that operators understand the technology and are able to select the most appropriate monitoring equipment for their process.
