Magna Parva Gets Closer to its Customers

Magna Parva Ltd – a provider of engineering design services for applications in hostile environments – has expanded with the opening of a new office at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.
Based at the Start Electron offices within the Innovation Centre, the company’s work often involves taking early stage ideas from universities or private sector clients and developing them through to complete products.

Magna Parva’s Technology Transfer function, headed by Managing Director, Andrew Bowyer, will use the Harwell office as the base for its activities, which has included the design of specialised experimental equipment for
high profile space projects such as the planned missions to Mars and Mercury.

The company has also recently announced the recruitment of its first apprentice under the ‘Space Academy’ programme.

“Although we already enjoy close working relationships, we are looking forward to being physically closer to some of our customers,” said Andrew Bowyer.

Magna Parva maintains its head office at Bardon Hill in Leicestershire, and also has a facility in Milton Keynes supporting scale up activities.
