Lab Asia 2015 Hailed a Huge Success by Exhibitors and Visitors

Lab Asia 2015, that ran from 6 – 8 October at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), has concluded successfully with overwhelming participations from 163 exhibitors and 5740 visitors.
16 participating countries, the presence of the international exhibitors, and visitors from 36 countries have made Lab Asia a bridge that connects Malaysia with Asia, Asia and the world. Approximately US$4,000,000 in business transactions was generated during Lab Asia 2015.
Being one of the ASEAN leading laboratory exhibitions, Lab Asia 2015 has been contributing to the growth and innovation of the laboratory and scientific industries in Southeast Asia region and beyond, generating vast business opportunities for exhibitors and visitors. The 5th edition of Lab Asia has marked as a success and the exhibition is now firmly established as a recognisable platform to expand business reach, to obtain the latest market insights and to learn new technologies.
“It is inevitable for us to innovate, create new scientific knowledge that can lead to new scientific breakthroughs. Technological innovation is no longer an option but an obligation. I am delighted that Lab Asia 2015 is providing a strategic avenue for exhibitors from around the world to showcase their latest scientific equipment, state of the arts laboratory instruments as well as specialised software and analytical services,” said YB Datuk Dr Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) at the official opening ceremony of Lab Asia 2015.
Apart from exhibition, Lab Asia also served as an educational platform with 35 technical seminar sessions being held during the exhibition. Meanwhile, there were 2 industrial conferences being held in conjunction with Lab Asia 2015 and attracted 400 delegates in total. These conferences are The 7th Biennial Symposium on Total Management – Quality, Safety, Environment and Laboratory Informatics (QSEL2015) and The 4th Federation of Asian Polymer Societies International Polymer Congress (4FAPS-IPC 2015)
“I am here to look for overseas suppliers for laboratory equipment for biological and medical usage. I get to know that Lab Asia has pavilions from China, Singapore, Germany, as well as exhibitors from India and Korea. Therefore, it is a good way for me to meet the suppliers. Through the Business Meetings program, I have met a few suppliers and I will contact with them for further details,” said Ms Maria Genea Perez, Operation Manager of GPS Diagnostics Trading, Philippines.
