New NMR and EPR Explosion Protection Chamber Keeps Researchers Safe

Researchers performing pressurised NMR or EPR experiments face a danger of the tube breaking or fracturing while under pressure. The NMR & EPR Explosion Protection Chamber by Wilmad-LabGlass - SP Scienceware shields researchers from flying debris and brings a new level of safety to the laboratory.

High-pressure experiments have significantly grown in popularity over the last several years. As a result, the risk of tube explosion in the laboratory has also increased. The Explosion Protection Chamber solves this safety issue by preventing debris from projecting sideways towards the researcher should an explosion occur.

“For many years researchers have used blast shields to prepare high-pressure NMR & EPR samples, but this method leaves them exposed when transporting pressurised glass tubes to the spectrometer,” stated Susan Butch, Portfolio Manager for Wilmad-LabGlass. “Using this chamber, researchers can shield themselves throughout their entire experiment, from sample preparation, to transport, to loading.”

The one-size-fits-all design allows for the chamber to be assembled in double barrel mode for Bruker spectrometers or single barrel mode for Varian / Agilent and Jeol spectrometers. modular leg array ensures that the product fits securely against the upper barrel protruding from the magnet.

The NMR & EPR Explosion Protection Chamber arrives with all accessories needed to begin using immediately.
