NEW! 2900 Biochemistry analyser from YSI

YSI is proud to launch its latest Biochemistry Analyser, the YSI 2900. It is used for making accurate, one-minute measurements of: Glucose, Lactate, Glutamine, Glutamate, Xylose, Ethanol, Methanol, Sucrose, Galactose, Lactose, Choline and Hydrogen Peroxide. The 2900 has many technical innovations and benefits: no turntable required; 1 to 96 well plate capability; Clogging resistant; multi-language touch screen and many more.

The most noticeable feature upon first looking at the 2900 is the large touch screen. This intuitive icon driven interface currently offers 8 language versions, including Korean, Chinese and Japanese. It is extremely user-friendly and anybody new to operating the analyser can quickly learn from the onboard training videos and operating manual. Do it yourself maintenance is also facilitated with the help of videos, meaning less down time.

The 2900.Analyser is Light and slim line, with a small footprint of just 8” wide by 20.5” deep, and its modular design will allow for future expansion of chemistries. Currently it will measure two compatible chemistries simultaneously.
The 2900 is economical to buy and run – it does not require complete reagent packs, just the reagents the user needs for testing. A major design improvement is the removal of the requirement/additional cost of a turntable for running multiple samples. It has an integrated auto sampler, which will handle from 1 sample to a 96 well plate, with a separate station for one-off samples. A wide variety of vials, tubes and plates may be used, allowing for smaller sample size 5 – 65 uL.

The unique chamber design, with its short and wide aspiration path, of the 2900 makes it extremely resistant to clogging, even with samples that have a high dissolved solids content,
Flexible data handling and connectivity allows the easy download of data to memory stick, PC or network via USB, Ethernet or RS232 ports.
