Raising the Bar of C/N Analysis: The New Velp CN 802

Carbon and Nitrogen analysis plays a pivotal role in scientific research, quality control, and quality assurance, particularly for environmental and agricultural tests, for the assessment of environment pollution and the development of effective management strategies.

Navigating the challenges - such as ensuring accuracy in measurements, managing diverse sample types, and interpreting complex data - requires specialized solutions.

With the mission of providing laboratories with the highest precision, versatility and ease of use in Carbon and Nitrogen determination, we set new bar for accuracy with our CN 802 elemental analyzer.

The CN 802 is a robust and flexible combustion analyzer, designed to work in accordance with official reference methods for carbon and nitrogen determination across various industrial sectors.

It is the ideal solution for high-sample productivity laboratories, since it provides fast and accurate results, eliminating the need for aggressive chemicals or time-consuming analysis steps.

The CN 802 delivers unparalleled accuracy and efficiency across various sample types, including solid, semi-solid, and liquid samples simultaneously. Indeed, by utilizing dedicated accessories and kits, laboratories can perform automatic analysis with high precision in long routine series on liquid samples in the same analysis run as with solid samples. Moreover, it has been specifically designed for routine long-term determination of TOC in any kind of sample matrix, enabling laboratories to deepen understanding of soil and sediments structure, water retention and nutrient availability, and more.

The innovative and maintenance-free HighSensIR Detector enables the analysis of high weight and volume samples to obtain accurate results when testing inhomogeneous samples and those with low concentration levels, enduring constant performance over time.

The CN 802 analyzes samples of up to 1 g, effectively reducing the cost-per-analysis through VELP combustion technology and the use of genuine consumables with extended lifetimes.

Among the countless advantages, we can't overlook:

  • The CN 802 LoGasTM TCD that works with no reference gas ensuring the lowest gas consumption on the market;
  • The possibility to seamlessly switch to Argon prevents Helium availability issues;
  • Optimized combustion leads to very low oxygen consumption: when utilizing a pre-installed method, the instrument accurately doses the gas to ensure full sample combustion based on its weight and matrix, saving resources;
  • The DriStepTM physical water trap not only requires no maintenance but also removes 99% of water without the need for any chemicals;
  • The installation is straightforward, and its compact design saves valuable bench space in your lab.
  • By connecting the CN 802 to the VELP Ermes cloud platform, you can streamline routine operations by offering real-time monitoring of your elemental analyzer, and benefit from timely and remote assistance. This ensures a superior level of service while maintaining maximum data security and protection.
