Vaisala Introduces a New Series of Host Devices with Indigo 201
Aug 11 2017
Vaisala has launched a new host device for their carbon dioxide probes, the GMP251 and GMP252. This new device, the Indigo 201 probe host, provides an optional display, analogue outputs and relays, and a wireless interface accessed easily by mobile phone. Indigo ensures minimal downtime for calibration because post-calibration interval probes can be easily switched out with freshly calibrated ones. Users can also calibrate the probe using Indigo 201 and a reference. The GMP251 and GMP252 CO2 probes are ideal for harsh and humid environments, including: life science incubators, cold storage, and demanding HVAC applications.
"Today, carbon dioxide is more and more often used, for example, in refrigeration systems, because it is more environmental friendly and has a lower impact on global warming than the restricted CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants," said Maria Uusimaa, Product Manager at Vaisala.
Easy to Use, Simple to Calibrate
The Indigo 201 uses a wireless user interface for easy configuration. Simply configure the host using any device with a WLAN connection, such as a laptop, computer, or mobile phone. Measurement data can also be viewed wirelessly. Measurement results are shown on the Indigo’s display panel, and can be converted into other formats such as analogue output signals and for relay activation. These features are useful in various control and monitoring systems, and the relays can be used to build small-scale systems to activate a fan or give an alarm.
