New Products for Social Distancing and Hand Hygiene to Help Businesses Operate Safely

Teknomek has extended its range of products designed to help businesses safely operate in line with the latest COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.

Sue Springett, Commercial Manager at Teknomek, explained: “We’ve had a lot of inbound enquiries around products to help reduce risks for staff by enabling a safer working environment. One particular issue has been the requirement for safe working where space is at a premium. Notably, labs and cleanrooms have been highlighted as particularly problematic.”

Teknomek’s mobile segregation screen offers a physical barrier for where it is not practical to enforce two-metre segregation zones. The product is supplied with a fixing bracket to bond or bolt it to the floor, the screen itself is made of transparent non-shatter Makrolon.

Easy clean features include a raised tie bar so cleaning teams can easily access beneath and dirt traps have also been factored out throughout – the one-piece screen features no eyelets, stitching or joins.

Teknomek has also introduced a mobile foot-operated sink to offer extra capacity when required, and with no plumbing needed. It can be repositioned anywhere inside or out so the whole site can safely access appropriate handwashing facilities. The 15-litre unit is supplied with a 3kW heater to supply warm water, which can be plugged into any standard 3-pin 13 amp plug.

While hand washing it the first line of defence, it is advisable to supplement this with hand sanitising gels. Teknomek has launched a fixed hand sanitiser dispenser to complement the recently released portable hand sanitising pedestal.

The secure dispenser is intended for use in high traffic areas and is built to last of 304 grade stainless steel.  It offers a large 900ml capacity, equating to 450 uses between refills, and can accommodate both alcohol gel sanitiser and liquid soap.
