Accelerating the Pace of Micro and Nano Technology
Apr 02 2006
Oxford Instruments is supplying a suite of analysis systems to build on the existing world class characterisation and microscope facilities at Begbroke Science Park, located near Oxford, UK. These systems include INCAEnergy EDS, INCAWave WDS, INCACrystal and HKLChannel5 for Electron BackScatter Diffraction. The INCA system provides a complete solution for the determination of the chemistry and microstructure of materials from the micro- to nano-scale. Oxford Instruments is also providing two X-ray Fluorescence spectrometers for thin film and nanopowder analysis, X-Strata960 and Twin-X. "We are delighted to be working so closely with the Department of Materials at Oxford University." said David Scott, MD of Oxford Instruments NanoAnalysis. "This is in line with the company's focus on providing tools and systems for work at the atomic and molecular level to advance fundamental nanoscience research."
Dr Alison Crossley, Manager BegbrokeNano says "This new centre at Begbroke Science Park will offer state of the art measurement facilities to companies developing nanotechnology, and builds on our aim to further develop our links between science and industry."
