New 3D Bioprinters Available in UK and Ireland
Nov 06 2019
Printing soft and hard tissues (from the brain through to bone) brings so many opportunities to researchers, the pharmaceutical industry and education.
Labtech International Ltd has been selected as the sole distributor of the cutting edge, US-based, Allevi 3D Bioprinters for UK and Ireland.
Allevi produces a range of bioprinters that enable researchers to create 3D tissues (with any cell line and geometry) using physiologically relevant bioinks.
The technology revolutionises tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, the way you model disease, test drugs and study the body.
Dr James Nuttall, Labtech’s Technical Director said: “We are excited to introduce our customers to this innovative technology that has so much potential in bioengineering. Allevi’s products are affordable, simple to use, small enough to move around the lab and compatible with the broadest range of bioinks.”
Scientists can create 3D tissues with any cell line in their own labs without any prior experience of bioprinting.
Allevi Bioinks have been thoroughly tested and validated in-house, by academia and by the tissue engineering industry. However, scientists can use Bioinks from other sources, including their own, with the open Allevi system.
Allevi’s Sales Director, Brian Ikeda, added: “It’s vital that we partner with distributors that can fully support our products. As well as Labtech having over 26 years of experience in bringing innovative technology to market and their technical sales expertise, they have dedicated in-house product and service specialists with post-doctoral research experience. We look forward to working with Labtech to help many more top universities and research labs accelerate their research.”
