News: Analytica Industry in an Upswing

Exhibitors are extremely pleased with the results of the 20th Analytica: Many of the 908 exhibiting companies from 32 countries (Analytica 2004: 1,118 exhibitors from 35 countries) came to Munich with product innovations including some world premieres in the sectors for analysis, laboratory technology and biotechnology. In doing so, they took advantage of the leading European exhibition to present their new solutions to a broad-based audience. Given the visitors' strong response, the fact that the right people were at the exhibitors' stands and Analytica's related-events program for establishing new customer contacts and maintaining existing ones, many exhibitors are expecting post-fair business to be outstanding.

The number and quality of visitors surpass expectations, with some 26,000 visitors from 90 countries, the fair surpassed the expectations of the exhibition management team and the exhibitors alike: "We were expecting 25,000 visitors and actually exceeded that number in my opinion a clear indication that the focus of Analytica as an exhibition for solutions in industrial and academic laboratories has been validated by the industry," explains Klaus Dittrich, Managing Director at Munich International Trade Fairs. With 383 exhibitors in the sector for biotechnology and the life sciences, Analytica 2006 managed to further strengthen its position as a leading platform for marketable solutions in this exhibition sector, which was very popular among visitors both from Germany and abroad.
