Total Titratable Acidity Measurement

The HI 84430 is specifically designed to determine Total Titratable Acidity of water. Acidity in water is its capacity to react with a strong base. This precision instrument is an economical and easy to use microprocessor-based automatic potentiometric titrator (and pH meter) that benefits from Hanna's years of experience as a manufacturer of analytical instruments and sensors.
It is not subject to common interferences of colormetric techniques. Titrations are driven by a simple and accurate peristaltic pump that is engineered to provide the best performance and repeatability possible. Hanna standards are provided to calibrate the pump and assure optimum
instrument accuracy in the measurement range of interest.
The algorithm analyses the pH electrode response and determines the reaction completion based upon a user selected endpoint (identified traditionally as ‘methyl orange acidity’; pH 3.7 or ‘phenolphthalein’ acidity; pH 8.3).
The HI 84430 is equipped with a user friendly interface with a dedicated help key. Calculations are automated and results are conveniently displayed on the LCD screen in mg/L or meq/L CaCO3.
