Rapid Screening for POPs in Foods and Environmental Samples Is Now Available

Do you need to rapidly detect and measure the presence of organic environmental contaminants and adulterants in dairy products, meat, poultry, seafood, baked goods as well as many other foods and beverages? If so, FMS and Thermo Scientific have combined to solve your problem by developing the new Total Solution Rapid Screening System® (TSRS). TSRS combines FMS’s Total-Rapid-Prep® sample preparation technology with the high-performance ITQ Ion Trap GC/MS® from Thermo Scientific to give you an integrated instrument that can deliver same-day screening capability at an economical cost for the detection of POPs in food, biological and environmental samples.

TSRS is automated and easy to use. The system is designed to integrate into your laboratory’s normal workflow, and uses convenient premeasured supplies and simple "cookbook methods" to perform the analysis of POPs in food.

Applications for TSRS include rapid detection of Pesticides, PCBs, PAHs, Dioxins ,Furans and PBDEs in a wide variety of foods, beverages, environmental and biological samples.
