Frontier Laboratories Ltd, introduces a new Multi-Shot pyrolyser EGA/PY-3030D. With this new pyrolyser, samples in any form can be chemically characterised by multiple, powerful thermal techniques: Evolved Gas Analysis, Thermal Desorption Analysis, Single-Shot Analysis, Double-Shot Analysis, Heart-cut EGAGC/ MS Analysis, Reactive Pyrolysis Analysis, UV Pyrolysis Analysis, and High Pressure Reactive Analysis. The Frontier Multi-Shot pyrolyser is the only instrument of its kind with guaranteed precision, inertness and accuracy. The instrument is compatible with virtually any gas chromatograph (GC) or GC/MS system.

While pyrolysers have historically been used for the analysis and characterisation of polymeric products, Frontier’s fourth generation pyrolyser incorporates features that extend its utility into a variety of material characterisation applications and protocols such as the testing of children’s toys for phthalates, identifying additives used in the production of rubber and isolating the organics in viscous liquids such as cosmetics and other natural products. An important feature of Frontier’s design is that virtually all samples can be analysed directly, thus eliminating cumbersome, time consuming, and expensive sample preparation steps.
