Elementar at Analytica 2020 in Munich
Feb 20 2020
After the successful launch of the UNICUBE instrument for simultaneous CHNS analysis at Analytica 2018 exhibition Elementar have again chosen Analytica to launch their new TOC (Total Organic Carbon) analyser. This will build on Elementar’s strong reputation of offering the most flexible TOC instrumentation available whereby both solids and liquids can be analysed on the same instrument with no additional footprint.
Also being exhibited will be the Elementar instruments for the analysis of organic and inorganic sample types.
For organic samples such as oils, food, polymers, pure chemicals, soil etc. Elementar offer simultaneous C H N S analysis with the additional option of detecting oxygen and chlorine. These instruments cover a measurement range for samples from 0.1 mg to 5 g making them useful to a wide range of industries. The unique Advanced Purge & Trap (APT) and Temperature Programmed Desorption (TPD) technology enable the analysis of samples with C:N and C:S elemental ratios of up to 12,000:1 with confidence.
While Elementar are already well-known as the innovation leader in CHNS elemental analysis of organic samples Elementar also offers an innovative product range for the CS and ONH analysis of inorganic samples such as metals, cement and ceramics.
The inductar® line of CS and ONH instruments automate the analysis of these samples minimising the high maintenance requirement typically associated with this analysis. In addition to this the inductar EL cube enables both CS and ONH analysis to be performed on one instrument giving maximum flexibility and redundancy in a laboratory.
Maintenance requirements are reduced by the innovative gas flow path and crucible design that both capture dust and minimise spatter. This eliminates the need for dust extraction systems and reduces downtime. The use of a solid-state induction furnace eliminates the need for an oscillator tube allowing standard plug sockets to used and enabling a more compact design.
