The CLARIOstar® is a multimode microplate reader with BMG Labtech’s  revolutionary Triple Technology  - advanced LVF Monochromators, highly sensitive filters and an ultra-fast UV/Vis Spectrometer – offering up to eight different detection modes: Absorbance, Fluorescence Intensity (including FRET), Fluorescence Polarization, Luminescence, (including BRET), UV/Vis Absorbance, Time-Resolved Fluorescence (including TR-FRET) and Alphascreen® - giving the best possible performance in all read modes.

Its advanced monochromator system consists of two LVF Monochromators, one for excitation and one for emission. Compared to classic or quad monochromators, the unique next generation LVF monochromators offer significant advantages in sensitivity and flexibility by providing filter like performance.

Using the LVF monochromators you can not only select recommended read wavelengths for excitation and emission but can also select the optimal bandwidth from 8 – 100nm to ensure maximum flexibility and assay performance.

The ultra-fast Spectrometer is also able to scan multiple wavelengths or spectra in under 1s per well ensuring the highest performance for absorbance assays.
