Bellingham + Stanley launches the new seven wavelength ADP670 digital polarimeter with XPC Technology

As part of a major update to the popular ADP600 Series of high precision, multiple wavelength digital polarimeters, a new seven wavelength model covering the UV/Vis spectrum is now available. Being capable of such a wide range of measuring abilities, the new ADP670 polarimeter is particularly suited to scientists wishing to measure chiral compounds and other optically active substances across the UV/Vis spectrum within the chemical, pharmaceutical and food sectors.

ADP600 Series of polarimeters are available as multiple, dual, or single wavelength models, with readability of optical rotation to 4 decimal places.

Whilst the ADP600 may look familiar from the outside, internally there has been a complete overhaul with the temperature control method switching to Xylem’s patented XPC Technology. This technology, first introduced in the ADP450 polarimeter, features interchangeable contact Peltier plates that cleverly provides for a stable measurement temperature using Peltier control.

ADP600 Series polarimeters with XPC Technology can stabilise the temperature of a sample at the pharmacopeia prescribed 20 or 25°C. As such, the ADP600 series meets all requirements of pharmacopeia for optical and specific rotation (precision, wavelength, temperature), including the ability to measure Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide at 325nm, where readings must be within 1% of readings of a USP Reference Standard of the same material.

All ADP600 Series polarimeters feature our latest firmware, meaning your touchscreen experience is not only intuitive but is also secure and compliant with a range of international standards including FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 11. ADP600 Series instruments are also compliant with pharmacopeia (BP/EP/USP/JP) as well as several other norms including relevant ASTM and AOAC methods.
