New Handheld Thermometer Offers Dual Input Precision Measurement

Dec 20 2005

Automatic Systems Laboratories (ASL) all new handheld, battery-operated digital thermometer provides ultra high precision readings to an accuracy of ±0.025°C or better and has two inputs enabling both direct and differential temperature measurement. With the performance of a top class bench instrument and its portability, the F100 is ideal for precision temperature measurement indoors or on-site in many industrial, research, defence and calibration applications.

It can be used with PT100 or thermistor probes (standard or SMART, calibrated or uncalibrated) and uses stored probe calibration data for optimum system accuracy. Typical instrument accuracy offered is ±0.02°C for PT100 probes, traceable to international standards, with resolution at an impressive 0.001°C or better.

The instrument also has an internal data logger to allow readings to be stored along with date/time and channel information. To aid stored data retrieval, the F100 has a USB interface for use with PCs and provides statistical analyses of measured data, plus compatibility with ASL's ULOG data logging software.

The easy-to read LCD display gives measured data in user selectable units of °C, °F or K, and Ohms when used in its resistance measurement mode. It has display modes of Channel A, B or A-B and functions of Zero display, Hold (pause) display and Single shot measurement.

The compact F100 measuring just 232 x 97 x 53mm is powered by a rechargeable battery giving a typical operational life of up to 20 hours.
