Founded in 1968 by Stanley Stearns in his own living room, VICI has since grown to become an international organisation with devices found in nearly every national lab, military facility, and university research department around the globe. For 50 years VICI has pioneered new instrumentation, helping scientists to measure and make sense of the world. We create highly customised solutions for some of the most difficult separations chemistry challenges today.

Facilities

With over 150 state-of-the-art CNC machines, our instruments and components are manufactured to exacting standards at our facilities in Houston, USA and Schenkon, Switzerland. VICI Metronics, located in Washington state, produces permeation devices and calibration gas standards for a range of trace detection industries. VICI Precision Sampling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana manufactures analytical syringes, micro valves, and custom formed tubing.

Major Products/Services

Valco produces a complete line of valves for analytical chemistry. We specialise in zero dead volume fittings and filters for the separation sciences and are the original creators of the pulse discharge dectector (PDD). Our miniPDD consumes less than one-fifth the amount of helium required by the PDDs used on complete GC systems. It has similar sensitivitiy to the original PDD with a slightly lower dynamic range.

Our VICI Metronics division produces PEEK, FEP, PFA, and ETFE tubing, ambient temperature gas purifiers, ValcoBond GC capillary columns, and Dynacal gas calibration standards. The VICI Precision Sampling division manufactures analytical quality syringes, sampling probes, and standard and custom formed stainless and special alloy tubing. VICI AG (Valco International) produces the Jour line of HPLC fittings and lab safety products.

Our newest products include the C82 line of UHPLC valves, fittings that permit direct connection of 360 um tubing, the Universal valve actuator, and the C52 platform integrated HPLC injectors and selectors.

Chromatographic Techniques
