Acquisition strengthens immunoassay solutions portfolio

Medix Biochemica, a global supplier of critical raw materials for in vitro diagnostics (IVD), has acquired Candor Bioscience GmbH, a leading provider of immunoassay solutions based in Wangen, Germany. This acquisition expands Medix Biochemica’s portfolio and enhances its ability to support immunoassay developers worldwide.

Candor Bioscience, founded in 2004 by Dr Tobias Polifke and Dr Peter Rauch, specialises in the development of premium solutions for immunoassays. These include high-performance blockers, stabilisers, and buffer solutions designed to improve the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic tests.

With the acquisition, Medix Biochemica gains access to Candor’s extensive expertise in immunoassay development and its portfolio of critical raw materials. The operations of Candor Bioscience will remain based in Wangen, ensuring continuity for its customers and maintaining the company’s high standards of production.
