Columns
HALO BioClass for fast, high resolution separations of biomolecules
Nov 04 2015
HALO BioClass columns are specifically designed for fast, high-resolution separations of proteins, peptides and other biomolecules and are especially suited to work involving:
- Intact proteins, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), biosimilars and other large biomolecules such as pegylated proteins and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs);
- Peptide mapping (analysis of enzyme digest) for characterisation and monitoring of synthetic protein drugs;
- Analysis of therapeutic peptides and peptide biomarkers (protein surrogates); and
- High resolution separations of complex mixtures of glycans released from N- and O-linked glycoproteins.
The range currently includes three product types and five chemistries:
- HALO Protein columns are specifically designed for the efficient separation of proteins. They are available in two chemistries, HALO Protein C4 and HALO Protein ES-C18. Both are stable up to 90°C and can elute very large proteins with good peek shape and recovery. They offer low LC-MS bleed and are compatible with HPLC and UHPLC.
- HALO Peptide columns are designed for fast high resolution separation of peptides. They are available in two chemistries, HALO Peptide ES-C18 and HALO Peptide ES-CN. They are extremely stable up to 90°C and offer rugged and reliable performance. Both can be used with HPLC and UHPLC.
- HALO Glycan columns offer improved retention of acidic and zwitterionic analytes with very low sensitivity to buffer concentration. The unique phase incorporates a highly polar ligand that contains five hydroxyl groups tethered to a 2.7um Fused-Core silica particle via novel proprietary chemistry. It is ideal for the HILIC separation of oligosaccharides, and particularly, of released and labelled glycans from glycoproteins and proteoglycans.
