New laminin isoform kit simplifies cell culture workflow
Nov 01 2024
AMSBIO has launched the iMatrix Palette, a comprehensive kit designed to streamline cell culture and differentiation workflows for researchers working with ES/iPS cells. The kit includes all variants of AMSBIO’s iMatrix recombinant laminin E8 fragment isoforms, helping researchers save time, reduce costs, and improve reproducibility.
Culturing human stem cells and iPS cells under feeder-free conditions requires ECM proteins to promote cell adherence to plasticware. Unlike traditional laminin-based options, iMatrix E8 fragments are only 20% of full-length laminin, yet they retain all integrin binding sites, enabling improved cell adhesion and expansion. Studies by researchers at Kyoto University have demonstrated the effectiveness of iMatrix E8 fragments in supporting cell culture and growth. The iMatrix series of recombinant laminin isoforms set the benchmark for differentiation of iPSCs into ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm.
The iMatrix Palette contains a vial of each laminin E8 variant, allowing researchers to test and choose the optimal isoform for their specific applications. This flexibility enhances experimental accuracy and outcomes while enabling efficient pre-mixing and pre-coating protocols. The kit consolidates all necessary variants in one package, eliminating the need to purchase multiple individual variants and providing a more cost-effective solution for researchers.
The iMatrix Palette kit offers unmatched versatility and control over cell behaviour, improving reproducibility and efficiency in stem cell research and differentiation protocols.
