Simply Progress to Online SPE

Assay performance and throughput have always been a major parameter in the analytical laboratory.
The use of increasingly sensitive Mass Spectrometers has enabled labs to reach status quo. With the MS considered as standard equipment, further progress can only be achieved with novel front-end technologies.

Online SPE by Spark Holland is recognised as the answer to achieve further progress, however in many cases the day-to-day work pressure obstructs a neutral view on the advantages that online SPE may have on the lab workflow in general and more specifically on the quality of the assay such as increased sensitivity, selectivity and robustness.
