New Kromasil EternityXT stationary phases for compound purification
Nov 02 2016
Kromasil EternityXT family of products is based on patented technology for the separation and purification of pharmaceuticals, peptides and oligonucleotides under reversed phase chromatography. Kromasil EternityXT 10 μm C8 and C18 materials are end capped, can withstand pH 1-12 and cleaning in place (CIP) conditions at even 1 M NaOH. Both phases are now shipping, providing flexibility for small, medium and large scale preparative chromatography facilities. This family of Kromasil EternityXT stationary phases supports scientists and engineers working under purification conditions that may be challenging to the mechanical and chemical stability of standard stationary phases.
Kromasil EternityXT 10 μm C8 and C18 materials can withstand pH 12 and as many compounds researched by the pharmaceutical industry are basic in nature, it is possible to purify them using Kromasil EternityXT to increase loading onto the column, thus, improve productivity and reduce overall purification costs.
Kromasil EternityXT stationary phases are disruptive in the marketplace as 1 M NaOH is thought to be the standard in bio chromatography to regenerate polymer resins and now this barrier has been minimised between polymer and silica based materials with the EternityXT availability.
To date, the Kromasil brand has four platforms: Classic, Eternity, Chiral and SFC. These Kromasil platforms are the result of more than 25 years of stationary phase manufacturing and packing expertise at AkzoNobel, delivering performance products to users in R&D organisations, pilot laboratories and API production facilities.
