New Intelligent Spectrophotometer
Apr 12 2011
HACH LANGE establishes a new standard for water analysis. With the launch of the new DR 3900 Spectrophotometer, HACH LANGE is introducing new technologies such as RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and the 2D barcode to the field of water analysis. For the first time, the relevant process data from sampling right through to measurement value archiving can be accurately recorded, fully documented and easily traced.
Relevant data is automatically saved on RFID tags (data carriers) on the sample bottles. Each sample is clearly identified.
The DR 3900 Spectrophotometer reads the sample data automatically. Updates to enhanced measurement methods are automatically transferred to the photometer via RFID tags on the cuvette test packaging. The photometer identifies the shelf life of the reagents from the new 2D barcode and issues any necessary warnings. Real-time communication takes place via LINK2SC between the DR 3900 and the process probes, which can be adjusted directly from the laboratory. Quality assurance measures are also planned and implemented on the monitor of the DR 3900.
With the DR 3900 and RFID, we are establishing a new security standard in the field of water analysis: sample labelling mix-ups are now a thing of the past. Clear textual information is provided at every stage. Customers will receive a level of assurance with regard to measurement values that was previously inconceivable.
