raw fluorescence measurements

The Jenway 62 Series fluorimeters are designed to suit a wide range of budgets and applications. All three models in the range offer intuitive operation, press-to-read operation and Intelligent Filter
Modules (IFM). Using the optimal filter combination of excitation and emission ensures that selectivity is also enhanced, enabling interference free analysis.

All models in the 62 series enable simple raw fluorescence measurements to be made without the need to calibrate. If precise concentration measurements are required, these can be made by calibration with a blank and standard solution. Where expected sample concentrations may cover a wide range, a calibration curve can be created with up to six standards. Each model can store twenty methods, which are PIN protected and 100 results can be stored in each method. There is also optional PC software available to aid kinetics assays or time course experiments.

There are three models in the range, models 6270, 6280 and 6285. Model 6280 uses a sensitive photomultiplier detector enabling it to be used for very sensitive determinations with emission wavelengths up to 650nm. Model 6285 has a red-enhanced PMT detector making it ideal for sensitive applications which require detection at higher emission wavelengths up to 850nm, such as the measurement of chlorophyll a. Model 6270 can be used for less sensitive applications with a broader wavelength range, which makes it ideal for use in education.
