ACE UltraCore - Superficially Porous (Solid-core) UHPLC/HPLC Columns with Extended pH Stability
Feb 24 2014
New ACE UltraCore solid-core (superficially porous) particle columns from Advanced Chromatography Technologies Limited combine high efficiency and performance, with a low column back pressure, to deliver exceptional chromatography. They are available in ACE SuperC18 and ACE SuperPhenylHexyl phases, with 2.5µm and 5µm solid-core particles. Both phases feature proprietary Encapsulated Bonding Technology (EBT), which results in excellent peak shape and superb phase stability across an extended pH range of 1.5 to 11.0. Encapsulated Bonding Technology dramatically increases the ligand coverage of the silica surface and effectively eliminates the effect of unbonded silanol groups on separations. This higher ligand coverage results in improved inertness, chromatographic performance and stability. With these exciting new solid-core phases chromatographers can confidently exploit selectivity at low, intermediate and high pH for rapid, systematic method development.
The ACE SuperC18 phase is also available with fully porous particle 2µm, 3µm, 5µm and 10µm UHPLC/HPLC columns. ACE SuperC18 columns are designed for use with LC/MS compatible buffers and offer ultra-low bleed for improved LC/MS compatibility. They can be used with both MeOH and MeCN mobile phases and offer rapid column equilibration without memory effects.
Advanced Chromatography Technologies also manufacture the ACE range of “Extra Stability”, “Alternative Selectivity” phases which includes ACE C18-Amide, ACE CN-ES, ACE C18-AR and ACE C18-PFP. These phases incorporate the latest developments in UHPLC/HPLC stationary phase design to provide chromatographers with more choices for alternative selectivity without compromising stability or robustness.
The full range of ACE ultra-inert HPLC and UHPLC columns also includes C18, C8, C4, C18-HL, Phenyl, Cyano, AQ and Silica along with five 300Å wide pore phases (C18, C8, C4, CN and Phenyl).
