Quick and Easy Application of Plate Seals

Available exclusively in the UK from Alpha Laboratories, the RollMate™ is a self-standing, non-slip support that holds pre-scored seal rolls securely in place for easy removal. Roll tension can easily be adjusted to user preference (e.g. loose, tight) and the continuous backing liner can be torn off or fed directly into a waste basket for disposal. RollMate is available for SealPlate® films and FoilSeal™.

SealPlate® RollMate™

SealPlate® RollMate™ is ideal for ELISA, incubation and storage within a temperature range of -40C to +120C. The seals feature a single, writeable end-tab for easy application and plate identification. SealPlate film minimises evaporation, reduces cross-contamination and prevents spillage of samples. It eliminates the “edge effect”, excess evaporation in the outside wells, which can occur with other films and plate lids. Useful as a simple cover to protect samples from external contamination, dust and debris, the 50µm rigid polyester film features good clarity and easy handling.

FoilSeal™ RollMate™
 

For standard PCR, long term storage, light sensitive assays and robotics the robust FoilSeal™ RollMate™ is an excellent solution. The pre-scored foil in a convenient, easy to use roll format can be used within a wide temperature range from -80C to +120C. Removal from a continuous backing liner minimises curl making FoilSeal easier to handle and apply. Certified DNase- & RNase free it also has excellent chemical resistance (e.g. DMSO). The 50µm thick aluminium foil minimises shredding during removal making it ideal for cold storage.

Being conformable FoilSeal allows visual verification of seal security around each well and the specially formulated adhesive provides an excellent seal to minimise evaporation, reduce cross contamination and prevent spillage. However, it still removes easily and cleanly from the plate surface. The foil is pierceable with a pipette tip or robotic probe for direct sample recovery.
