Enhanced PCR Plates for Improved Stability and Evaporation Protection

For use in automated PCR, high plate stability and stiffness are important for safe handling. For these applications, Brand offers new Rigid Frame plates with 96 and 384 wells.

They have a rigid polycarbonate frame that provides high dimensional stability before, during and after the PCR run. As a result, the plate does not warp even at high temperatures. This not only brings advantages in terms of safe handling, but also in terms of evaporation protection through sealing foils. This makes smaller sample volumes possible.

The rigid frame also allows the use of very thin-walled wells made of 100% pure medical grade polypropylene. The uniform and thin wall thicknesses of the wells ensure rapid transfer of temperature from the cycler to the sample, reducing cycle times.

Like all PCR consumables from Brand, the Rigid Frame plates meet high quality and purity requirements. They are produced under controlled cleanroom conditions and thus meet the quality criteria of the BIO-CERT® PCR QUALITY level.
