New app enables remote monitoring of chronic respiratory disease
Oct 16 2025
electronRx, a digital medicine company specialising in pulmonary care, has announced the launch of pDx, a mobile and web-accessible platform that allows patients with chronic respiratory diseases to monitor lung function from home. Compatible with smartphones, tablets, and laptops, pDx provides clinicians with real-time cardiopulmonary data, enabling remote assessment, disease tracking, and tailored treatment adjustments.
The pDx app builds on electronRx’s proprietary purpleDx technology and generates digital biomarkers from device sensors, capturing physiological metrics including heart rate, respiratory rate, and tidal volume. These clinically actionable insights are securely transmitted to healthcare providers through a dedicated dashboard, supporting personalised care and optimising therapeutic outcomes. By reducing the need for frequent hospital visits, pDx helps patients manage conditions such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension while easing the burden on healthcare systems.
“pDx represents a meaningful step forward in patient-centred respiratory care,” said Dr Bipin Patel, CEO and Founder, electronRx. “The platform allows continuous monitoring, integrates seamlessly into existing care pathways, and empowers clinicians to make informed decisions while giving patients greater control over their health.”
