How much gasoline does the United States consume?

In 2023, U.S. finished motor gasoline consumption averaged about 8.94 million barrels per day or about 376 million gallons per day. (There are 42 U.S. gallons in a barrel). The record-high level of finished motor gasoline consumption was about 392 million gallons per day in 2018.
