Stephen Durrant Retires After Decades of Service to Science

After a distinguished career spanning several decades, Stephen Durrant is stepping into retirement, leaving behind a lasting impact on the scientific community.

Stephen began his career in education at CCAT in Cambridge before moving into industry with LKB Biochrom. Over the years, he contributed his expertise to several leading scientific companies, earning a reputation as a trusted professional in the field.

In 1993, Stephen founded Eco Scientific Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in supporting Kin-Tek across Europe as their sales, service, and support manager. His dedication to providing high-quality permeation tube and standards products has been widely recognised.

As he embarks on this new chapter, MA Controls Ltd will take over the sales, service, and support of these products, ensuring continuity for customers.

Stephen now plans to dedicate his time to charitable work in the Stroud area while also pursuing personal projects at home.
