The Rapidox 1100 oxygen gas analyser is the company’s most cost-effective and versatile range of gas analysers fitted with either zirconia or electrochemical type gas sensor.

The zirconia oxygen sensor is the most common solution providing fast and accurate gas analysis over the range 1ppm to 30% O2 and is particularly suitable for aggressive industrial applications.

Users have a choice of two electrochemical oxygen sensors: one for low ppm measurements of 1ppm up to 1% and another for high percent measurements in the 1ppm to 30% oxygen range. Electrochemical sensors are ideal for high oxygen applications or ppm applications where VOC’s, flammable gases, CO, H2 or He is present in the gas sample.  A special “oxygen clean” version of the high range analyser is also available.

Product Information

An alternative to electrochemical sensors is an optical sensor which is suitable for oxygen measurements in the 0.01% to 100% range.  Optical sensors are more expensive than electrochemical sensors but have exceptionally low drift and last up to ten years making their cost of ownership more economical in the long run.  This oxygen analyser is the preferred choice where regular recalibration is difficult due to the installation / application.

For applications requiring the full measurement range from 0.1ppm to 100% O2 in a gas not compatible with a zirconia sensor, a dual-sensor Rapidox 1100 oxygen analyser is available; comprising both an optical sensor for high readings and an electrochemical sensor for ppm O2 readings.   The gas flowing over the sensors is controlled automatically using solenoid valves, allowing a seamless transition of measurement from low ppm to high percent in a single analyser.

Special variations of the R1100 model include:

1)            A three-channel multiplex version (ZR3), which allows for three gas streams to be sampled from separate locations. Gases can be analysed in sequence or at intervals set from the controls (front keypad or software).  This model is particularly suitable for large solder re-flow ovens where multiple sample points are needed across the length of the oven chamber.

2)            A closed loop version (PFC) which supplies a 4-20mA PID control signal to a proportional flow control valve, allowing precise control of the oxygen levels in an oven or chamber based on the Rapidox gas reading.

3)            A single solenoid relay version (RSO) using a remote 24V voltage output.  This is a more basic and cost-effective way of controlling the oxygen levels by opening and closing a nitrogen feed using an electric solenoid based on the Rapidox gas reading.

4)            A dual-sensor version (OPT-L) comprising a pair of O2 sensors in a single analyser, one for low ppm readings and one for high percent readings, controlled by solenoid valves for a seamless & continuous measurement through the full range of 0.1ppm to 100% O2

Finally, the Rapidox 1100 oxygen analyser complies with EMC Directive 2004 / 108 / EC. UL/ETL Certification Number: UL-61010-1.
